Introduction to Data Recovery Class Description:

Data Recovery 0 - "Introduction to Data Recovery" is in the process of being restructured into the class designated "DR0 - Prerequisite" as the first of four classes. Upon successful completion of their associated written and hands on certification examinations will result in the prospective student being awarded the Disaster Prevention and Data Recovery Specialist Certification. In the meantime, the experimental version will be taught in tact as it has been well developed and fine tuned for the past five years.

Data Recovery 1 - "Introduction to Data Recovery on Microsoft FAT file system based drives" is in the process of being restructured into the class designated "DR1" as the second of four classes. Upon successful completion of their associated written and hands on certification examinations will result in the prospective student being awarded the Disaster Prevention and Data Recovery Specialist Certification. In the meantime, the experimental version will be taught in tact as it has been well developed and fine tuned for the past five years.

Data Recovery 2 - "Advanced Data Recovery on Microsoft NTFS file system based drives" is in the process of being restructured into the class designated "DR2" as the third of four classes. Upon successful completion of their associated written and hands on certification examinations will result in the prospective student being awarded the Disaster Prevention and Data Recovery Specialist Certification. In the meantime, the experimental version will be taught in tact as it has been well developed and fine tuned for the past five years.

The student will thoroughly understand the role and function of the hard drive in the modern PC system including the very specific low level software structures that reside on it that facilitate the launch of the operating system. The student will become proficient in locating, analyzing and if necessary, repairing and or rebuiding these structures in order to restore operability to the operating system or be able to rescue user data and settings from unreparable partition installations.
